Her body-her choice

We often hear these words said by liberals who support abortion. But those words turn on them because they are illogical, making no sense. If this were true that the pregnant woman could legitimately live by her own rules, in a similar way the expectation of the community and the government are irrelevant to her.

What about wearing seatbelts? What about driving at any speed without any limits that she would prefer? What about ignoring any moral responsibility that other people observe?

The demand of my body, my choice pays little attention to science. It is actually an ignorant statement! That person within her womb is a separate person with a different DNA than what she has. She is not growing a cyst or a tumor. When the baby is born, all the world recognizes that infant as a unique human being. The liberal female making such a statement cannot accurately or scientifically declare when that infant becomes a human being.

If it were legitimate to abort what is called a fetus, it would be ending the life of a unique person. The only difference between the baby and the mother is that the baby is preborn, and the mother has been born. No one on the liberal side can defend such a woman by telling her not to worry when she aborts because it is not yet human. In all of creation each species generates a continuum of the species through birth. A zebra cannot produce an alligator! An alligator cannot produce a chicken. Only a female human being can give forth the opportunity for another human being to be presented to the world.

It is certainly true that a woman may claim it is her body meeting she can do with it what she wishes. She may cut her fingernails or her hair. She may have surgery to reduce her weight. She may have her gallbladder removed. What she does to her own body is her business. It so happens that inside her is another person. When she says it is her body with her choice, there is no way it could extend to the other human being inside her womb. That other person in her womb has its own body. The mistake such a woman makes is that she is assuming her body and the body of the infant inside of her are the same. This is definitely not true. They are two separate people. The domain over her body does not extend to the body of someone else. There is no difference between what she would do with her body and what she would declare is her prerogative to do to her husband. When a baby is aborted, it is mutilated even at times cut into pieces yet within the womb. Society would say she has committed a crime to mutilate her husband. She has no authority over her husband’s body for life and death matters. Therefore, she has no authority over the pre-born person within her for the matter of life and death
