I hope your 2024 is off to a strong start so far! Do you have any New Year’s resolutions? One important item on my list involves setting aside designated time to pray for the persecuted church.
If you, too, feel led to intercede for our suffering brothers & sisters around the world, I want to invite you to view GCR’s Persecution Trends to Watch in 2024—an all-new list that shines a spotlight on significant examples of Christian persecution today.
Will you join me in praying for these areas of concern? Your intercession is an incredible encouragement to our persecuted family members around the globe who continue to endure staunch opposition and brazen attacks on their faith.
Curated by GCR’s Chief of Global Strategy & Research, Ronald Boyd-MacMillan, the Persecution Trends list is derived from the newly announced Violent Incidents Database—a first-of-its-kind record of attacks on Christians and people of faith around the world, which is currently tracking more than 6,000 incidents of violent persecution and counting.
The Persecution Trends list and the Violent Incidents Database will be discussed in greater detail at the upcoming International Religious Freedom Summit in Washington, D.C. from January 30-31, 2024. There, I’ll serve as a speaker alongside many others who are dedicated to championing religious freedom in our world. Please stay tuned for additional updates.
Thank you for starting out your year in fervent prayer for the persecuted as One Church and One Family.
Blessings,
Dr. David Curry
