As we all know Israel was attacked by the terrorist group Hamas. This attack was unprovoked. Its origin goes back to the many centuries ago of hatred toward the Jews. People all over the globe have speculated what deep meaning this has in which even Iran has attacked Israel.
Are the events in the Middle East pointing toward the return of Christ soon? Preachers and scholars have speculated their opinions. Therefore, we must take a viewpoint of the Oriental stage which means we must also deal with this same question in light of recent happenings. So then, does all this mean that Jesus will come back very soon?
We can learn from current world events. Perhaps what is happening is part of Godās plan. Or perhaps it is sinful men misbehaving on the world stage. One thing we do know is that the return of Christ could happen at any time. Even Jesus said it was Godās business what would happen at the end of the world. Regardless, we must face the fact that what is happening is real and cannot be stopped unless the Lord steps in.
Itās best for us to concentrate on what type of people are involved. Ancient history tells us that the Jewish population came from Isaac and his twelve sons. A man named Esau was first in line to get the blessing of the birthright from his father. However, Jacob deceived their father and stole the birthright from Esau. Immediately there was tension between the brothers and the descendants of the brothers. Though Jacob and Esau settled their differences, the contention between their families continued to escalate through the years to this day.
This brings us to the point about Jesus in which he offered salvation through his death and resurrection to all the world, Jew and Gentile. We are faced with the challenge whether or not our profession matches our possession as servants of God. Everything we do and say matters among the community and the world and with consequences into eternity. Whether or not Jesus is coming back in the next few minutes or the next few centuries, we must live each day foremost to the glory of God and be the best that we can be.
The radical devotion of terrorists is a challenge to modern day Christians, not just for safetyās sake but more importantly for spiritual sake. If only Christians would be so dedicated and intent on serving Jehovah God in the same way the terrorists serve Allah. It is so ironic that groups of unbelievers, whether terrorists or cultists, are so determined to submit to falsehood and evil. The threats happening in other parts of the Eastern World are truly a major issue to the American way of life, yet we continue to give ourselves up to sin.
The purpose of this blog was not to predict the end of the world. Thatās totally impossible. If anyone would tell you they can do that, they are liars! The purpose of this blog is for Christians to demonstrate a hyperfocus, a concentration on biblical objectives in our lives. The crisis on the other side of the world very likely may escalate into a world war. That does not mean that Jesus will come as part of that escalation. It does mean; however, the wars and rumors of wars should be taken more seriously. Let us motivate ourselves to be our higher brand of spiritual servants. The crisis in the world is significant. It is a call for us who claim to be Christians to demonstrate real faith and witness to the rest of the world.
