How Far the World Has Fallen and so Quickly

Let us enliven ourselves so that what we think and believe is honorable to God. Let us be the people that received God’s smile. We can do it again! It may take an educational rebellion by those who love God and those who work to see America and the world honor him. This likely is true of the educational system in so many countries and nations. Our naïveté has caused us to defame ourselves. The world congratulates itself on how smart it is when the fact is that it has fallen so far that it is hardly recognizable from what it was intended to be by its founders.

Review with me the history of the educational system of higher learning in America as an example of the militant hostilities against truth around the world. We have colleges and universities that today are referred to as Ivy League schools. What are their origins? They came about in colonial days. They were not created for the prestigious atheistic thoughts nor for the rebellion of young students brainwashed by pseudo-professors. We are now struggling with the loss of what the educational system in America was meant to be!

Christian principles were grounded on the political, social ethics and orthodoxy of days gone by. The schools of centuries ago sought to reinforce theological indices. John Witherspoon, the only clergyman to sign the Declaration of Independence, was president of what became Princeton University. Harvard University was primarily established to train ministers. Timothy  Dwight, president of Yale University, was one of the most influential leaders in the Second Great Awakening. Nathaniel W. Taylor was the first professor of theology at Yale. Other so-called Ivy League schools have their beginnings affected by ungrounded on the Bible.

The same thing with examples can be said of other colleges and schools around the world that were originally based on Scripture. In fact, we don’t even have to talk about colleges. In the colonial days the textbook of young students was the Bible that they used as a means to learn how to read.

Hopefully, you can see with me how that just two or three centuries ago even the schools of higher learning honored the Bible. Now what do we have? We have Marxist, super liberal, atheistic, and other superlative nonsensical words to describe the professors and teachings that our young people have known to brainwash them. We have fallen so far!
