We have a very unusual situation tonight. A former president and a vice president are facing off in a debate. They each have their own interests at heart. Many accusations could be made against each of them. It is obvious that our presidential election has degenerated to nothing other than political maneuvers. It is also obvious that many people who would be qualified to serve in the White House could never achieve that goal because it takes millions and millions of dollars to run. It is a sad case that politics and money have replaced the well interest of our nation. We are at a precipice. The question is how far down into the hole we will fall come November. There is every possibility that the United States of America will be translated to the Socialist States of America.
We have so many issues that are anti-Bible. Our elections are more about who wants to be in control instead encouraging our nation to conform under the influence of biblical principles. Part of the manipulation of the general population is to rename issues. Abortion is now called reproductive rights. Illegal immigration crossing our southern border is now called non-documented. High prices stemming from costs of transportation are now called inflation. The advertisement of politicians is to solve the problems of America when in fact they have originally caused the problem themselves. It is questionable what solid stands politicians hold. This results in flip-flopping on principles instead of taking a firm position.
How are Christians supposed to vote? Not only are we voting for president, we are voting for the least of the worst instead of the best of the best. There is every possibility that America will slide down in international standing to a second- or third-rate nation. It is heartbreaking to see our country falling apart. God is not welcome in our society anymore. Even the Ten Commandments are viewed as prejudicial. It is the Christian responsibility and privilege to vote. Sadly, it has come to the place if Christians do vote, they cannot do it by their conscience or even by the Bible. This volcano has been set to explode for many decades either by manipulation or by criminality.
This is a double whammy in which we have a responsibility to vote but have roadblocks in the way called principles and ethics. This is definitely one of those situations in which the believer must seek God’s guidance. Whatever happens in November will greatly affect our grandchildren and great-grandchildren, that is if Jesus delays his return. It is imperative that we drill into the minds and hearts of our loved ones what the Bible says. We must teach them the importance of the influence of the Holy Spirit. There is coming a time in which Christians will be viewed more and more in a suspicious manner. The debate this evening will either begin the stabilization of America or the consumption of what the older generation once called great.
