Decisions, Decisions, Decisions

Some things have little consequence when we make a decision. For instance, such things as the flavor ice cream you’re going to have on a certain day is merely a personal preference as a decision. There are those decisions we make that we think are very important as they turn out to be of no consequence at all. Finally, there are decisions that are before us that we do not believe have any consequence that alternately have major repercussions.

How do we know which decision is most important? First exam those that are asking you to make a decision. If that person or group is trustworthy, it is far different from that person or group that has a history of being unreliable in regard to the truth. Second, consider the consequences for which direction you might go. Third, speculate for how each alternative decision could affect you, those close to you, and the community.

Of course, the most important decision that you could make is to accept Christ as your personal savior. To reject him has devastating results; namely, eternity in hell. Life lived according to God’s terms will be much more productive and have a truly positive influence on those in your circle. The dynamic changes that the Holy Spirit can make in a person’s life is so valuable that there is no better decision to make.

Tuesday will be a major consequence for the way the election spills out onto the scene of our population. There are some people so devoted to the Democratic Party they are too closed minded to consider any other vote. Likewise, there are those people who are so dedicated to the Republican Party that they are not careful to make sure that their vote counts positively toward America.

In the case of our election tomorrow, we must examine the history of the person running for president. Some people complain about their personal behavior and that will decide their vote. I suggest a better way is to detect the results of their efforts. Also, it is so curious to me why extreme liberals in extreme areas have attacked Pres. Trump so  vehemently. My guess is that they are desperately afraid of him thinking he will continue to drain the swamp.

In this blog, I’m not trying to tell you  how to vote. I am telling you to be cautious, to pray for God’s leadership in your decision, and to look at the political behavior with its consequence of each candidate. If this election does not go well, God have mercy on our nation!
