There are so many idols and gods that people worship across the globe. Some of them are manufactured by hand. Some of them are mystical and philosophical. All of those worshipers reject the idea of having a personal relationship with the Almighty Creator. There are those that believe it a horrible thing to desire to have an experience, a fellowship with God when they believe he is so aloft from them.
But we find in the Bible the true God does want to interact with mankind. He is concerned about our earthly state. Furthermore, God cares about the circumstances from day to day in our life. He wants us to talk to him about our burdens and concerns. He wants us to single out what is important to us because then it is important to him.
The Bible says that Jesus was tempted in all points just like us. Our Lord is not estranged from the hardships, the emotional strain, the physical pain similar to ours. Even before Jesus died on the cross, he was fully aware of the situations in which we find ourselves. He cares when we struggle. He cares when our faith is tempted. He cares when we are discouraged. He cares when we don’t know where to turn. He is not aloft from us but deeply invested in our lives.
The unbeliever goes to the same issues that the Christian does yet he lacks the comfort from the Holy Spirit. By not having God in his life, the unbeliever has put himself at a distance from the care that God has for us. He is on his own to deal with his struggles and issues. We can thank God that we are not alone in the worst of times or even the best of times. Jesus said he would never leave us nor forsake us. That means that the care he has for us is ongoing, it is superb.
We can reach out to the one who brought us into being. He will listen intently as we cry out to him for whatever is of concern to us whether it be for healing, family issues, financial needs, or guidance. God’s care is so great that he knows before we ask what our need is. He delights to respond according to his will for what is best, for the way he would want to show himself present in our lives.
There are times it may be difficult to comprehend the care that God has for us. During the whirlwind of need, he does not stand off and watch us suffer. He is in that whirlwind with us just like he was with the three Hebrew children in the fiery furnace in the book of Daniel. God’s care emanates from his love. He seeks to bless us in ways that sometimes we cannot comprehend.
It is important that we recall scriptures for encouragement about God’s care. His Word is a light unto our feet. He is our great Shepherd watching over us. We can hide under his wings. He is our watchtower, Almighty God, Prince of peace, Counselor, Everlasting Father. When we seek him, God is magnificent full of power and love. To say God cares for us is an understatement. He is totally invested in every detail of our lives. Even during the harshest of times, we can praise him because he knows, understands, and hears us. To cry from the depths of our souls is to him who cares about us.
