He was a minister and teacher in the 19th century. He has been paraphrased by David Hazard in his book Mighty is Your Hand. The quote is very telling about love. It says in the quote.
“In our life with people, the one thing on which everything depends is love. The spirit of forgiveness is the spirit of love. Because God is love, he forgives. Consequently, it is only as we are dwelling in the love of God that we can forgive as God forgives.”
1 John 4:20 also says, “Our love for others is the evidence of our love for God. It is our grounds for confidence before God in prayer. It is our assurance that our prayer will be heard.
