Look to the Stars

Our night times would be very bleak without shining stars. Actually, stars are suns that probably have planets rotating about them. They are millions and billions of miles away. It takes a very long time for their light to reach earth.

God not only created the earth and everything and everyone on it, he also created all those stars and planets that we see in the sky at night. When you are praying, it is to the masterful creator of those distant places.

David said in Psalm 19:1, “the heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows his handiwork.” Do you know what that means? It is like a huge, huge neon sign that God put up saying, “I did this! You cannot!” Take note that Jesus made those stars and planets that you see. (John 1:3)

Tonight, when you glance upward, take note that the Almighty made those stars suspended in outer space shining so far away to remind you of his power. Glorify him. Thank him. Stand in awe of what God has done for you and me.

If ever you question God, if every you wonder about the power of God, if ever you are tempted to think he does not hear your prayer, if when you are discouraged, if ever you think he does not care, look to the stars. Look at his neon sign declaring all he has done that has no limit. Give thanks to him for his masterful artwork in the skies.
