We know that the book of Revelation goes into specific detail about the appearance of heaven. There are magnificent colors. There is a sea of glass. There are delicious fruit trees for eternal life and pleasure. There is music galore. Shouts of praise and adoration can be heard from many angelic beings. The streets are gold.
Forgive me, but my personal heaven would be a wonderful cabin on a lake with a motorboat and plenty of fish in the lake. There would be magnificent hiking trails boasting beautiful sites and waterfalls. If you could make heaven, what would it be to you?
Iām entering this short brawl today because I want to make a specific point. Yes, heaven will be a wonderful place for all of eternity! Yes, the sights and sounds will be wonderful. But we must admit that what will make heaven heaven is the joy of enjoying the love of Jesus. He said he went to make a mansion for each of us. We will have our own personal residence. The most important thing of all is Jesus. What he sacrificed cannot be measured in our behalf on the cross and the proof over death by his resurrection.
Make it your mindset took a look toward heaven and not be obsessed by the things of this world or the cares of this world. The Bible plainly says we are but pilgrims on this planet. We wonder about experiencing what it is to be in these natural bodies. In heaven we will have a glorified body like that of Jesus. How wonderful it will be that we can be there enjoying his presence!
