Do not Think me some radical nut. I am merely reflecting what the Bible says in this blog. We begin by recognizing that the Bible is not bashful in telling us what will happen next for believers in Christ. It tells us there will be a rapture when all those who know Christ suddenly disappear off the face of the earth and meet him in the sky. Immediately thereafter will be a tribulation period of seven years during which the Antichrist appears and dominates the world scene. Following that, Christ will return to physically stand on earth’s soil. He will set up a thousand-year period in which he reigns. Finally, it will be what is called a great white throne judgment. Here are more details.
The book of Hebrews 9:28 tells us that the rapture will be the completion of our salvation from our present suffering of sin. Romans 10: 9,10 says all believers will be taken and 2 Corinthians 5:1-4 tells us we will have a new body. Christ will come for his own in the sky changing our mortal bodies with the dead rising first at the twinkling of an eye. (1 Corinthians 15:51-57; 1 Thessalonians 4:16,17; Philippians 3: 20-21). While the tribulation is occurring on earth, it will be a celebration in heaven called the marriage supper of the Lamb (Revelation 19:7-9)
On earth there will be a time called woes of trouble (Revelation 18:9,10) The first appearance of the Antichrist will present himself to the world peacefully. (John 5:43) He will make a covenant with the Jews to rebuild the temple, however he will break that covenant and become militant against them. During this time. God will send his judgments over sinful and rebellious earthlings in so many different ways as outlined in the book of Revelation. During the same time two witnesses (who never died but were taken directly to heaven) will be sent back to earth, but they will be murdered, and the bodies would lay in the streets for days seen around the world probably by satellite. This will be cause for celebration among unbelievers.
At the end of the tribulation period, Jesus will return to earth. . He will come with the saints that have been raptured and those who became Christians but were killed during the tribulation. As King of Kings, he will have all powers during the Battle of Armageddon.(2 Thessalonians 1:7-10; 1 Thessalonians 4:14; Revelation 19: 17-21; Zechariah 12:11) At that time Christ will bind Satan for a thousand years. (Revelation 20:1-10) It will be expected that the Jews convert to Jesus as the Messiah. (Zechariah 12:10) At the end of this millennial timeframe Satan will be loosed awaiting his final judgment. (Revelation 20:7-15)
Then there will be the Great White Judgment in which all of the unsaved for all time period will be judged. (Revelation 20:11-15) The earth will be purged by fire. (2 Peter 3: 10-14; Acts 3:21) Afterwards, God will present a new heaven and a new earth over which Christ will have an eternal reign. (Revelation 21:1-8) It is noteworthy that there will be four judgments. There will be a judgment of rewards for the saints. (2 Corinthians 5:10) There will be a judgment of the nations (Matthew 25: 31) There will be a final judgment of the unconverted dead. (Revelation 20: 11) There will be a judgment of Satan, his fallen angels, and any of his cohorts that assisted him in the evil struck against the world. (2 Peter 2:4; Jude 15; 1 Corinthians 6:3)
If everyone understood what the future holds, perhaps they would rethink how they live, and what a relationship with Christ is. It behooves all believers to warn everyone of what is in the future schedule.
