Jesus is the Only Way to Heaven – John 14: 6

Let’s get the obvious out of the way first. I am not saying that my way is the right way and everybody else is wrong. Those who are receiving this blog that are international who traditionally have a different religion other than Christianity may be reading this. You’re not the only ones that I am encouraging to consider Christ. Everyone that has not asked him to be their way to heaven needs to do it immediately.

We looked at the obvious. Now let’s look at facts. The founder of all other religions has not risen from the grave alive after being murdered. That only happened to Jesus. There are many types of literature both biblical and secular that validate his life, teachings, death, and resurrection. Because he was the singular person that won victory over death, he can promise and give assurance that those who believe in him will have eternal life. All other religions rely on good works by the adherents. Jesus turned the table on every other faith group by saying works was not sufficient. It is faith in him and what he did in our behalf that made the difference for our eternal security.

In today’s text Jesus not only said he was the only way. He said he was the truth and the life. Followers of his do not need to go into meditation or yoga or try to make their minds empty. He said that if we accept him into our hearts, he will send his Holy Spirit  to us for guidance, comfort, and assurance. Jesus is also the owner of the destiny for believers. He is the only one that has gone on before us to prepare every single one of us a unique place for eternity.

When you think about it, it takes more faith to believe the good works you do that will be acceptable to a god with whom you cannot have a relationship. How far must you go before your good works are enough to merit eternal bliss? If you believe in something other than Christ, you have no answer to this question  because there is no answer. On the contrary, by accepting Christ as your Savior, you have to do one thing: believe in him. Consider how valuable your soul is. Consider the best way to invest your soul for the next million and millions and millions of years.
