Because of all the circumstances throughout the globe, we have before us two choices. Either we repent and get right with God or his judgment will continue to fall upon us. We have made light of God. We have ignored him. We have not taken into consideration what God has said. We have not incorporated into our daily lives the righteousness that God would have us experience. We have not lived a good life before him.

Now we are reaping what we have sown. We have evil ruling over us in  government. We have depended on leaders to be a blessing to our nation, but they have turned themselves back on us. They have reversed all that is good in morals and ethics.

We may be angry, but that will do no good for us. We may mock the evil in the White House and Congress, but that will do no good. We may make threats of voting them out, but that will do no good.

The evil in our government is merely the blister that has come to surface showing the illness within us as a people. The evil is simply a result of who we have been for years. The blister is a symptom of the rebellion and waywardness within us. Had we honored God; this evil would not be afflicting us. Had we lived as God would have us, he would bless us, but we have chosen evil in our own hearts and now evil boasts itself in the absurd laws and presidential proclamations.

Should we repent and ask God to come back into our individual daily lives, our hearts would change and, therefore, our country would change. The evil would dissipate from Washington DC and withdraw its ugly head. When it withdraws its head, it will be waiting for another time for us to become lax. We must not let down our intentions privately and openly serving God.

Ancient words from the book of Isaiah chapter one, verses sixteen, eighteen, and nineteen show us the way. It says, “wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes; cease to do evil…… come now, let us reason together, Saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool… if you be willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.”

God is serious and so should we be serious! This is a turning point in history. Either we serve the Lord or we suffer the further consequences of evil in our government and our society. There is no middle ground. There is no plan B. Either we serve God individually in our hearts so that our society and our government changes or the evil in our government will invade itself further to our private lives.
