The word rapture is not in the Bible. However, it has been coined to express what various verses by various writers of the Bible have declared will happen. According to Scripture, before the appearance of the Antichrist and the beginning of the tribulation the cumulative body of those who know Christ as their Savior will leave this earth. Jesus will appear in the sky, according to the Angels at his ascension, and will return in like manner.
At his appearance he will call forth the living and dead who have known him as their Lord and Savior to be with him during what the Bible calls as the marriage supper of the Lamb for a seven-year period. This will be a time of rejoicing in heaven. During the celebration, those who rejected Christ will experience the sufferings on earth during the tribulation.
There are those who believe in the rapture, but they say it will occur in the middle of the tribulation. Still others say it will occur at the end of the tribulation. I am writing this article to share with you the reasoning I have believing that it will occur before the tribulation. I am also giving you the reasons why I believe it will occur at all.
We can agree Jesus warned his followers there would come a time in which they would be persecuted. He even said they would be scattered to many parts of the world and their temple would be destroyed. This did occur exactly as he said it would. Jesus made his prediction thirty-seven years before the Roman General Titus in 70 AD did what Christ foretold. Since then and until nineteen forty-eight, Jewish people have been without a homeland.
Because there are already so many biblical fulfilled prophecies, there is no reason to suspect that other scriptures talking about the rapture would not come true. It is a simple matter that Jesus will appear in the sky and those who know him will go to meet with him as I said before. Why do I say this? Why do I believe it will happen like this and why do I believe it will happen at all?
There is no other way to explain the future occurrence as Paul predicted them in 1 Corinthians 15. In fact, he even said it would occur so quickly that it would take the same time as the twinkle of an eye. This is the first reason I believe it because the Scripture says so.
It is beyond my comprehension to conceive that an all-loving God would allow his chosen saved humans to go through the most horrendous times of all history. There is no scriptural evidence that says he would have a purpose in such an event. If he loved us so much to send his son, common sense would say that same love would preserve his beloved.
The book of Revelation says there will be a separate time of resurrection for the just and the unjust and a separate judgment for the just and the unjust. There is no Scripture that indicates for any reason that these two groups would be combined into a single judgment. One will be judged for reward and the other will be judged for damnation. When I say damnation, keep in mind what Jesus said in the gospel of John chapter 3. If we do not believe in him, we bring condemnation upon our own selves through that rejection.
The consequence of the rapture is for the believers’ natural body to be transformed into an eternal body. We will have a body forever that will suffer no illness or death. The soul of the dead will return to the earth, their natural body will be pulled forth from death and changed into a glorified existence. The Bible calls the resurrection of Christ as the forerunner to our own.
We could invent many ways that the disappearance of thousands and thousands of people will be explained by the governments of the world. What I am about to say next will probably sound outlandish. However, I ask you to consider this anyway. For years there has been much talk about aliens coming to earth. I do not find this as a coincidence.
First, let me say that it is physiologically and scientifically impossible for creatures from another galaxy to come to earth. Such a home planet would be millions of light years away from Earth. That is, the speed that it takes light to travel over millions of years. You might come back and say such a population could be so advanced that they could propel themselves that far with food and other necessities of life to reach earth. If I grant you that hypothesis, I also ask why would they come to such a primitive planet is ours when they are so advanced? The whole concept of alien invasion to me is nonsense, even though it might make an entertaining movie.
Put two and two together and in unredeemed minds, you could easily arrive to a plausible explanation for the disappearance of those raptured.
The hype has been so great and so long-lasting that more and more people are believing in aliens from outer space that kidnap humans. Put the hype together with the actual disappearance of believers in Christ, I can see how the governments of the world would say that they were taken by aliens elsewhere.
I hope you are not still here on earth after the rapture and hear what excuses are made. If you are, recall this blog that you were forewarned. You will suffer along with the rest of the world’s population, but if you decide to accept Christ even doing that terrible time, your eternal life will be secured. Your earthly life will probably be lost through persecution. The best advice I can give you is to accept Christ now by asking him to forgive you of the sins you commit and the sinful nature that you possess that inspires you to commit those sins. After you pray that prayer, with every determination you have supported by the Holy Spirit live for God the rest of your life.
