Your Storms of Life

He said to them, “Why are you afraid, you men of little faith.” Matthew 8:26

Jesus was asleep in the front of the boat. None of the disciples that were with him dared to sleep. They had put out to sea earlier; I think to escape the throngs of people. A huge storm came upon them, gale force winds stirred the waters, and the waves were over taking the boat. The storm was not letting up and the disciples were afraid, no doubt scared to death. And Jesus slept.

Have you ever had a storm in your life that overwhelmed you? Ever had the winds of turmoil blow you over? Or the waves of life capsize your heart? Ever been in a situation where you were afraid, scared to death? No doubt you have, I know I have.

With Jesus Christ in your boat of life you have no need to be afraid. But this is one of those things that is easy said, hard done. We are human.

Jesus may seem asleep at the time, but I assure you He is asleep with one eye open.

When you are afraid go-ahead call out to Him, He is likely to ask the same question; “Why are you afraid, you of little faith?”

Even at rest he is looking out for us.

Something to think about!
