I love my church, the House of God
Where I am sure to meet
My Savior and my friends who come
And worship at his feet.
I love my church where I recall
And where I truly trace
The many precious promises
Of God’s redeeming grace.
I love her tuneful heritage,
Her hymns of praise and prayer
Her sacred strains that lift my soul
Above the world of care.
I love the pastor of my church
Who cheers and strengthens me
Contending for the One True faith
In all his ministry.
I love to see him lift his hands
God’s blessings humbly pray
And with God’s peace on heart and mind
I wend my homeward way.
