The ideas about which we lived do not come out of the blue. They have a history from those such as parents who influenced us at a young age. Those we also love, and respect guide our path to the opinions we hold as important. Negative and positive experiences from each day create a significant impact on our thinking. Each of us develop our own guidelines out of the interaction that happens with people. Initially, we seek no authority to use and grasping those conceptions that we apply to decisions. Consider the misconceptions that many people hold which are impractical, not useful, or harmful.
I am a good person. The error of this opinion we have about ourselves has no authority. It has no basis to think of ourselves as good. It derives out of our own prejudice and behavior. This idea about self does not welcome challenge.
The Bible is not relative today. Those who believe this fallacy likely have never read the Bible through. This is impulsive without any analysis from history or human needs. The assumption Is based on the word relative. But relative to what? The Bible contains divine authority over us.
God is a loving God. This is not an observation. It is a needed declaration to justify a lack of conformity to the whole person of God. He is well-rounded, and like a human, has multifaceted characteristics. He does love; he does give opportunities for repentance. Otherwise, God is just and does have wrath against sin. He is both a savior and a judge.
I have no obligations to God. This is based on a self-created ambition to live anyway desired. It puts a barrier between humanity and God. As the Creator and the Heavenly Father, he does have expectations for us that cannot be ignored without consequences.
Time has no limits. People who believe this imagine they can put God off as long as they wish. They do not take into consideration the probability of their own death. It is their opinion that God will hang around waiting for them to respond when in fact God can be impatient.
There is no need to be concerned about other people’s spiritual well-being. This may come out of certain doctrines that an individual holds. It may also amount to diverting responsibility for other people’s spiritual condition.
What is preached for the Bible Is a matter of opinion. Though some statements in the Bible may be confusing at first, the reality of what is taught has a great deal to how we live on this earth and where we will spend eternity.
Religion was created by weak minded people. Whatever culture we examine wherever on the world scene there is an instinct in the makeup of people to worship. The difference between Christianity and other cultures is Christianity began with Jesus. Other religions began with a desire for ethics and morals leaving out the need for justification to the Almighty.
Many more misconceptions can here be cited, but the point of this blog is that we have an obligation to God who seeks a relationship with us. He provides blessings and helps whether we realize it or not. His heart’s desire is for each and every person to spend eternity with him.
