God is a Gentleman – John 3: 12-15

He gave options to Adam and Eve. He provided all they needed. He only asked them to observe one thing and that was not to eat the forbidden fruit.  It was their choice to cooperate with his plans,  God had no intention to make humanoids that automatically obeyed what he said.   This has been his protocol throughout the ages.  He issued a few commands that had  results they could bring on themselves.  It was natural consequences. Then when mankind went further into a state of rebellion, he was forced to react with forms of punishment.

In their misery they eventually called out to God for help.  As a gentleman, God would naturally demonstrate his concern for his creatures.  Things turned around.  Under the influence of prophets, seers, pastors, and leaders God brought his people to a place of compliance during the time these men and women were on history’s stage. Again, we must notice he offered options all based on an exceptional level of love.  He commanded everything to come into existence just by speaking it.  As a gentleman, God avoided any form of insistence that man permanently comply with him contrary to their will. He stood by patiently waiting for them to serve him out of their love.

Being a gentleman, God   gave humans the gift of choice.  This was not just for mondain options like what to eat on a given day.  It was for their destiny in this life and the next life. Man has abused this gift of choice by avoiding common sense  not taking into consideration what is real.  It was not a loss of factors. It was instead pretending, convincing himself that what was opposite of God’s preferences was not important.  What he wanted, what he preferred was all that mattered, not God’s ideas and even commands.

The good thing is that God’s gentle love could not allow humanity to remain in ssingle purpose of repairing the damage in the relationship between God and his creatures made from dust and breathed into the breathe of life.  That Son was the only perfect option that could be able to stand in a man’s place against the wrath due to every single person.  Again, the gift of choice would make the difference between a hellish afterlife and  blissful enjoyment. The question is whether anyone else will exercise a wise choice.
